KNOWING GOD, SHARING HIM WITH OTHERS

Santa Ana Baptist Church is where the community comes together to know and worship Jesus, and prepares to take the Gospel to our city and beyond.

What Does This Mean for You?

The most important thing is that you are always welcome at Santa Ana Baptist Church. We have a place reserved just for you. No matter where you are in your faith, you will always be welcomed as part of our church family as we walk together in obedience to Christ.

I’M NEW TO CHURCH AND I’M WONDERING...

  • I’M NEW TO CHURCH AND I’M WONDERING...

Although we certainly hope it’s not the case, we know everyone is a little different, and we understand that visiting a church for the first time can feel awkward or even uncomfortable.

That being said, you can join us anytime with full confidence that we truly care about you and want you to feel welcome. We’re here for you!

  • What Should I Wear?

We believe church is a special place—it’s God’s house—and our clothing should be modest and appropriate for worship. However, whether you come dressed in your “Sunday best” or not, we want to make sure you feel welcome and at home. Don’t let clothing be a barrier to coming to church. Come in whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

  • I Need a Ride to Church...

We’ve got you covered! Our van ministry provides transportation within Santa Ana for our services. Need a ride? Just call the church office at (657) 720-9921.

  • I Don’t Know What Happens at Church… What Am I Getting Into?

Twice a week, we gather to worship God and hear His Word. The pastor teaches verse-by-verse through the Bible, offering practical ways to apply what it says to your everyday life. We also have a time of musical worship to Jesus. After the message, we leave space for fellowship—you’re welcome to ask questions, receive prayer, or just connect. We’re here to serve you.

We don’t pressure anyone to give money (especially if you’re new). In fact, we’d prefer you didn’t. One of the reasons people give is to help us create an environment where you feel valued and welcomed. We genuinely care about you—you’re our honored guest.

I’M A CHRISTIAN AND I’M WONDERING...

  • What Is a Baptist Church?

This church identifies as a Baptist church by conviction and principle, not by affiliation. This means we hold to the core biblical teachings that Baptists have historically stood for. As Baptists, we believe in the following:

    • The Bible is our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.
    • The church should be autonomous and self-governing.
    • Every believer has direct access to God and does not need a priest—other than Jesus Christ—to come confidently before Him.
    • All Christians have equal ability to approach God personally.
    • God’s Word establishes two ordinances for the church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
    • Each person is individually responsible for their decision to accept Christ.
    • The separation of church and state is a biblical principle.
    • Believers are eternally secure in their salvation and cannot lose it.
    • The church recognizes two biblical offices: pastors and deacons.

If you’d like more information or have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.

  • Are You a Denomination?

No, we are not a denomination. As an independent Baptist church, we are not affiliated with any Baptist denomination or governing body. This allows us to:

    • Support our own missionaries who share our beliefs and mission.
    • Choose our own leaders based on biblical principles and the needs of our congregation.
    • Partner with institutions that share our faith and values.

In short, our church answers directly to the lordship of Jesus Christ rather than to any denominational authority. This independence allows us to follow biblical teaching and operate in a way that honors God’s Word.

  • Are You a “Seeker-Sensitive” Church?

Not in the way you’re probably thinking. Often, when people ask that question, what they really mean is: “Do you water down the truth of the Bible to attract people?” The answer to that is a firm NO!

    2 Timothy 4:2

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

We believe the entire Bible is relevant for every stage of life and essential for spiritual fullness—even the parts that are hard to talk about.

Of course, we never want to push anyone away from church, and we work hard to make everyone feel welcome. But we cannot compromise the truth to achieve that.

  • Is This a Prosperity Gospel Church?

Absolutely not. We believe in Bible-centered, Christ-exalting teaching—going verse by verse through the entire Bible. The beauty of this approach is that it steers us away from both the prosperity gospel and the poverty gospel, keeping us accountable not to focus on themed series about giving or church growth.

We talk about giving and generosity when the Bible talks about it. You’ll never hear promises of “returns on investment” for “financial faith seeds,” you won’t see a fundraising thermometer for a building project in our lobby, and you’ll never receive special treatment from our leadership because of your financial giving (in fact, our pastor doesn’t even know who gives and who doesn’t!).

God’s Word, Our Authority

It’s easy to speak highly of our church, but when it comes down to it—what do we truly believe? What are the core truths we stand on?
